Exactitude Privacy Statement

Your right to privacy is important to Exactitude. We are committed to providing the highest level of privacy to our clients and the information collected. To ensure this commitment, Exactitude provides the following Privacy Policy Statement that has been drafted in line with the National Privacy Principles contained in the Australian Privacy Act. 

What personal information does Exactitude collect?

The personal information generally collected by Exactitude includes, your name, contact details, skills, qualifications and previous and current employment history. Exactitude also collects financial information such as tax file numbers and bank account details of its clients and consultants.

 For what purposes does Exactitude collect the information?

Exactitude collects this information for the primary purpose of meeting client needs through provision of suitable Exactitude consultants and contractors. To achieve this aim, Exactitude will submit prospective consultant and contractor resumes to the client with your prior consent.  

How does Exactitude collect personal information?

We obtain most of your information from you directly, such as: when you submit your resume to us; each time we have contact with you via telephone, email, facsimile or personal meeting. Sometimes we may ask to collect particular personal information about you. Unless we have already done so, when or before we collect that information, we will take reasonable steps to inform you of: the purposes for which the information is collected; where applicable, any law requiring the information to be collected, and the main consequences if all or part of the information is not provided. Information from third parties, specifically references, will be collected with your prior consent. 

How does Exactitude hold personal information?

We hold your personal information in a combination of computer files and paper based files. These files and records are located at our Exactitude offices. Exactitude will take reasonable steps to keep secure any personal information that we hold and keep this information accurate and up to date. 

How does Exactitude use and disclose your personal information?

We will ask you to consent to a disclosure or use of your personal information for our primary purpose. We may do so in writing, over the telephone or email. At other times, your consent will be taken to have been given, where you indicate to us that you wish us to represent you to prospective employers. We do not disclose your personal information to others, except in the following cases: with your consent or where it is necessary to provide you with services; to our related companies; to organizations which provide services to us; to organizations which have requested us to provide services to you or who cooperate with us in providing products or services; where required by law. By providing Exactitude with personal information, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as outlined in this Privacy Policy Statement.

Access to your information

You can access the personal information that Exactitude holds about you by contacting the Exactitude administration as set out below. We will provide you with access to your personal information unless we are legally authorised to refuse your request. We may charge a reasonable amount for providing access.
If you wish to change personal information that is out of date or inaccurate at any time please contact us. After notice from you, we will take reasonable steps to correct any of your information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. If you wish to have your personal information deleted please let us know and we will delete that information wherever practicable. We may refuse your request to access, amend or delete your personal information in certain circumstances. If we do refuse your request, we will provide you with a reason for our decision and, in the case of amendment, we will note with your personal information that you have disputed its accuracy.
